Agritrade Leaf Tobacco is a Zimbabwean Company incorporated under the Company’s Act to provide agricultural solutions to the Zimbabwean tobacco farming communities, a distributor of agricultural products and commodities and a provider of a web of linkages in agro dealing and e-solutions in product payment and distribution.

Agritrade Leaf Tobacco was incorporated on 26th of October 2016 as the commercial strategic business unit concentrating mainly on tobacco contract growing and marketing. The company continues to upgrade its services to cater for the ever increasing number of farmers, and further widen its geographical coverage, which is already extensive in Zimbabwe.

Agritrade Leaf Tobacco has modeled its business as driven primarily by engaging small scale farmers. It seeks to craft a contract scheme that is integrated with output marketing where the farmers receive input support, technical advice, and assistance in produce transport as well as the issuance of packaging material at minimal handling cost.

Agritrade Leaf Tobacco’ success evolves through continuous interaction with agro-input players, utilisation of feedback, analysis and incorporation of lessons learned between different processes.

This essentially draws on the knowledge of relevant actors at each stage. The framework creates a network that considers the technical, social, and institutional constraints in an environment that facilitates learning and growth with the ultimate aim of generating a knowledgeable and well- resourced farmer who can optimize production through innovation ideas rather than mere belief of the several experimental years of farming without using indigenous knowledge systems and technologies.
